Our Mission
To create an enabling environment for the provision of affordable, equitable and accessible education (knowledge and skills) for Somaliland youth to contribute to the establishment of a strong community for one and all through support in the development of academic and vocational skills

Organizational Objectives
1) To inculcate and promote the power of knowledge amongst Togdheer youth
2) To create and endorse dynamic representation of Togdheer youth
3) To develop professional leadership in all aspects of society
4) To utilize the strength of the youth for social causes on self help basis
5) To disseminate the constructive tradition and promote the adoption of new ideas that impels Togdheer youth to be a catalyst for a betterment of Somaliland.
6) Increase youth participation in social causes and volunteer activities with special focus on rural
7) Build partnerships, alliances and strategic relationships with governmental and private sector entities to promote and build the talent and capacity of the youth.

While this youth organization began as an informal support network in burao, in recent months the structure and approach of the organization have become more professional. SYO is being registered as a non-governmental, non-profit organization in Togdheer region and is looking to formalize its training and living assistance activities. The organizations is developing a plan to move forward and grow from this base in order to remain valuable to, and meet the aspirations of, its members within the context of a rapidly modernizing world. The organization is committed to new initiatives aimed at growing its membership and increasing participation in computing, academic courses, carpentry, bricklaying and electronics in the local youth. While approaching new areas, the organization will ensure that its existing strengths are both maintained and enhanced.
